I like the idea of an intervention... However, we would have to tie him down in order to de-patina his car.
In the spirit of honoring all owners preferences, we should refrain because - - - sometimes: "A man is wealthy in proportion to the number of things he can afford to leave alone".
Hanz simply does not have the same insecurities those of us with "Concourse" brains have...

Jeff: Awesome! Looking forward to this as the response to date has been overwhelming 👍👍
All: Be sure to register for the Arthritis Foundation (AF) Cruise-In on Friday AND the Classic Automobile Show (CAS) on Saturday. If you want to line up with all the 928s during the CAS on Saturday, then you must register with the AF as well. Your registration $$ go towards Arthritis research and are charitable contributions.
Thanks to all ! This is gonna be a blast!!!

Hans is being the best Hans he can be, and that's why we all love him. He enjoys his well-earned patina.
That's his style and should be respected; perhaps, admired! I think he is onto something.
In fact, I'm craving a euro old buggy 5-speed in some sort of dark and tired color to cruise into far-flung micro brewpubs as part of his entourage.
I call dibs on carrying the boom box! And shotgun if available!
928s are relatively easy to keep running, reliable, and somewhat easy to increase power if you are creative. Perhaps, not like post Y2K buggies, but still fun enough. They always garner attention at a gas pump (wanted or not).
The bottom line is 928 are fun to drive and fun to look at! Possibly the highest smiles per dollar on earth!
Ever Onward!

Rendezvous 928 Sharks Discover Columbus Update:
HOLY CRAP!! Well done people!! We overshot all previous Rendezvous attendance records and our own liberal estimates for this event. I was betting we would NOT reach 60 cars... 18 cars under our current number and still climbing... With over 3 months to go we have 78 cars registered, including 75 928s, three 911s, and 118 participants - wives, kids, significant others, friends and family - you name it, EVERYONE is coming to Sharks Discover Columbus in July! This April we will have a Rendezvous 928 SDC article published in the Mid Ohio Region (MOR) PCA monthly publication "DOS". Their on line magazine has wide circulation and registrations could increase even more... Fingers crossed!
Fun Run & Horse Power Farms Social: We are still finalizing the Friday Fun Run & Lunch event as we keep out growing the venues. Apparently, not many places can handle a lunch crowd of 96 guests with parking for 65 cars ALL AT ONCE! Not to worry, we got this! More on that as plans firm up. After lunch, the fun run continues to Horse Power Farms (the ultimate in man cave garages) with an ETA between 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. for an evening Social with refreshments provided by MORPCA and Auto Assets of Powell, OH. The Friday Social includes ALL Porsche cars registered for the AF Cruise-In so get there on time.
SWAG: Today we ordered 99 Sharks Discover Columbus (SDC) Polo Shirts in sizes from Small to 4XL. The SDC Challenge Coins; SDC Beverage Koozies; SDC Window Stickers; SDC Swag Bags; and SDC Ball Caps are all done, or are nearing completion. 29 of 60 available SDC Bourbon bottles are reserved and 25 of 30 available Limoncello bottles are reserved. Remember, once they are reserved, that is it... all the SDC labeled bourbon & limoncello are GONE. Reserve yours while supplies last!
Registration is LIMITED: Currently, we are limited to 80 car registrations (not including guests) because we only have 80 bags and caps (see above Swag listing). Any registrations after the 80 threshold will receive a confirmation with a NOTE they may receive limited swag (No SDC Swag Bag and No SDC Ball Cap). The remaining Challenge Coins, Beverage Koozies, and Window Stickers are provided up to 100 units. After the 100 threshold is reached, we will be OUT of inventory. No more registrations after 100 cars.
Please give a SHOUT OUT to the leadership at 928 Owners Club and 928 enthusiast Shawn Stanford! 928 OC is the official sponsor of Rendezvous 928 SDC and without their financial support this event would NOT be happening. In addition, the SDC Window Stickers and SDC Liquor Labels were designed by and are being provided FREE OF CHARGE by Shawn Stanford (drives a Red 928 called Stitch). Shawn can't make it to Columbus because of a scheduling conflict, but in his usual fashion helps out anyway. He wont let us pay him, so he is gonna get a bottle of SDC Bourbon & as many Oliva Cigars that he can smoke at FRENZY in September!
Please give them ALL a huge Thank You... AND... If you are not a member of the 928 Owners Club, then NOW is the time to join!
Thanks again... THE 928 Buckeye Landsharks
