Big Blue will be doing the heavy lifting - - - #1 is staying home in Connecticut as it does not fit into carry-on luggage

Probably rolling out at about 6:00 in the morning and arriving in Columbus around 2:00 on Thursday...

Shouldn't be much drama on this one...
Trailer holds 2 - bring one for Drew

Two days in our case, hopefully launching Sunday morning for a Thursday afternoon arrival.

We had a minor panic yesterday, the 10-year-old Behr radiator decided to start leaking. Yikes!! The good news is that we had a new CSF on the shelf. The bad news is that it was an early one, and the oil-cooler fittings were wrong. Help!!

Fortunately GB had one in stock, checked the fittings for us, and Mary got it here overnight (via UPS, she and we are done with Fedex). It is truly great having folks like that watching our back.

The plan is a wrap and pack tomorrow and launch on Sunday!

Mike, Eric, Dave and I are hand bottling & labeling the Limoncello this morning. Of course we had to sample some of the distillers Award Winning Grappa… at 10:00 a.m. It’s just grape juice (cask proof) so all is good… actually Very Good!! 😊

So, John and I are trying a different route this year and decided to have the Sharks transported to Shawn’s in Louisville, KY from DFW!! Plan is to fly in next Wednesday and drive up Thursday. If this works out, it might be a new option for future Summer long distance events. Much appreciated Shawn

All loaded up in Arlington, TX.

Arrived in Louisville next day!!

Tucked away!!!

Thanks again Shawn. You are the man

That-there is two nice looking sharks! Can’t wait to see them up close!

The bottling went well today! Since it sold out so quickly, we bottled a few more Limoncello for anyone who may want a 2nd bottle. Thanks to Shawn Stanford for the extra labels!

Did you know, if you mix Limoncello with Ginger-Beer it makes a Sicilian Mule and it is excellent on a hot summer day 😎. As a result, a few of the labels may be a bit off center, or a little crooked. To be fair, they were applied by hand and I’m not as young as I used to be 😬😬😬

One of the Limoncello label’s was tagged on the inside with the bottler’s signature & RennList user name, but you can’t read it until the bottle is empty. In car salesman jargon “that makes it a RARE commodity…”. LOL!

Low-speed launch this morning at 8am:

Cool and foggy, and two hours later we are cruising rapidly across eastern Washington with the outside temp stuck at 98F. Yikes!!
It is amazing what a mountain range will do to trap the heat.

Joel, Mike,

Any Bourbon/Limoncello bottles left?
I told my wife that you guys bottled some.
She would like to have one if possible.
Bourbon preferred but Limoncello would be good too.

Many thanks.
See you Thursday!

ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!!

Sorry for the last minute addition but it’s a cool thing to do for those of us wanting a Thursday activity. Don’t know why we hadn’t thought of it before now, but we’ve identified another alternate activity for our guests!

The Der Dutchman in Plain City (same place we’re having lunch on Friday) has an informal Cruise-In every week on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It’s mainly an American Muscle Car & Hot Rod thing, but I think it would be cool to show up in force with a caravan of 928s. Most of the regulars have probably never SEEN a 928… much less a whole bevy of them.

If you’d like to attend, we’ll be departing the DoubleTree hotel parking lot at 4:00 pm. This is just another alternative activity that’s available to participate in… No pressure! 😎

THE 928 Buckeye Landsharks!
