Default INOP Driver Seat

12 way Memory seats in an 87 without memory. Seats worked for years before I set the car aside while building my stroker.

Power at the fuse and power at the harness end in the tunnel.

Applied 12 volts directly to the seat and nothing. 12 volts to the center motor and the seats rises.

I assume I can connect the red and brown wires to a 12 volt battery and get the seats to move. Right?

Located the problem - It's the power supply to the memory module. If I press on it the seat buttons work.

How do I separate the connector?

Power to the memory module is the connector on far left.

Well, I discovered if I compressed the upper left corner of the memory module 12 volt power was restored to the seat buttons.

I figured I could either remove the memory module and fix the problem directly or add a zip tie to compress the corner.

Of course I choose the zip tie solution. I'm not proud of it...

I will be recovering the seats and this approach restores the functionality until I take the seats out to be recovered.

See power seat, mirrors and memory fix. Second thread I've suggested this on today.

Sounds like the joints inside the control box need resoldering.
