Default DEVEK L2 Headers

Anyone need a set?

Been hoarding them for 10+ years, purchased here, had Jet-Hot coated in/out. They won't fit my current project.

1.5" Primaries, 3" Collectors.

I have a 1985 S3 with the two bolt pattern (rather than the three bolt on S4 and newer)... Are the two lower bolt holes on the three hole layout in the same position as the two bolt layout? If so, can the upper bolt part of the flange be grinded off to make the headers fit on a S3? Is the location of the collector the same as the original exhaust manifold? What is your price?

No, the lower holes are offset, so the ports dont line up. Even if you ground off the upper third bolt part of the flange. The bolt holes are not in line with the centerline of the exhaust ports. I thought this was the case when I bought them, but never checked. I assumed that early and late 32V's had the same exhaust flange layout, just with an upper bolt added.

Also, you'd need to make or have made, a x or y-pipe to connect to whatever exhaust layout your car has equipped.

Whoa, these are super rare! I purchased my car with these installed and bolted to a cheap aftermarket system. I hooked up the stock system with a y pipe and the tone is much improved but I fear I am not taking full advantage of what these really can do.

Yeah you need an X to get the most out of them, pain in the A$$ to install.
What is the asking $ please or are they gone?

I've been out of the 928 loop for 10ish years, so I'm not even sure what theyre worth at this point. Was kind of asking here for that insight. I vaguely remember paying ~1-1.2k for them when I bought them, prior to being coated.

i made a 32V fit a 16V by laser cut a thin steel plate with the 16V exhaust ports& bolt holes. Welded those on the headers and you see what you can grind away and have to drill on the flanges.
The thin plate ( as a gasket ) keeps the primaries centered on the exhaust ports.

I did this because this 32V set cleared the clutch pan , which the 16V set did not.

They are worth what the market will pay...

I bought a set from Mark Anderson that were used and powder coated (not pretty like yours) for around $700 a few years back, so I'd think that $1,200 - $1,500 would be a good deal for a perfect "like new" set as they are downright pretty to look at!

Those of us that want the best of the best will pay around $6,000 +++ for the newest technology full exhaust from Greg Brown. Greg's are supercar quality and control the motor music of the 928 far better than the full Devek system (think loud and droning) on the highway. Without the full Devek exhaust, the Devek Level II headers coupled with some free flow cats, x-pipe and an RMB offer great value, a healthy reduction in pack pressure, excellent aesthetics and reasonable sound control.

If I needed a set I'd easily offer you $1,000 for them... I'm surprised that no one has PM'd you an offer!

@davek9 - Who fabricated your X-pipe? Your exhaust is magnificent.

I do not know, the system was installed on an 86 that I purchased, it included two magnaflow SS mufflers(not shown), then the twin pipes exit the back.
I had gone through the car and put the car back to stock as it was too nice to be modded IMHO, I believe that car was then sold to a person in Japan, I then installed the system on my Twin-screw car and love it!
Note: the coating cleans up really easy and is holding up great, looks to be the same as being sold here.
