UPDATE:
I have installed the rebuilt master from Roger 87 vintage and the brakes are no longer locking up randomly “at least on the lift”.
I have a slight drag on right caliper after installing the new Hawk pads. During testing the new dampener “2“ D pads were destroyed while removing on the left caliper so the pads went in with out them the right has the dampeners installed. There is a non removable rattle clip on the Hawk pads I am assuming that with the Hawkes this added enough additional thickness to load them on the right. Plan is to drive monitor and see if the left squeaks and the right beds in, further information to follow.
Icsamerica you may want to revisit your master rebuild it was never correct.

Thanks but I'm not having any brake issues. I was referring to an off topic car that had an adjustable pushrod from the factory. That pushrod was adjusted too long for the replacement booster and offered similar symptoms for what you described. Some cars have adjustable push rods and some don't. Glad you got it worked out with a new master.
I've never had much luck with 'rebuilt' brake items and prefer to buy new and I guess you're experience kinda' affirms that.

Default Gasket worked

The gasket solution did the trick! The snow melted and I was able to get the car warmed up and back on the road. No dramas with the brakes at all. For the first time (since I've owned the car) I got it up to 70 MPH - and back down to 0.
