The exterior of this car is really coming along nicely. It looks like you are conducting a very thorough restoration. I am curious about what your plan was to deal with the surface condition of the engine bay, the surface rust near the washer bottle, and the interior. Did you already address those areas or is the plan to leave them as they were?

All rust was cut out and welded up. The driver side was bad as well up top, both areas had huge mice nests which did not help the corrosion. Current plan for the undercarriage and engine bay is to simulate the factory finish by applying a coat of yellow primer then orange in spots to simulate the factory overspray. The engine bay and underside are mostly rust-free, just the small tabs that bend and hold the cables and lines need to be cleaned up and re-finished.

Adam I just saw it in post 17 I can see the front bumper can,
it looks like its in good condition IE not crunched,
you could swap these for bumper shocks.

Getting more parts ready for the painter. Colour will be going on the chassis and jams very soon.

I will ask my painter when I go to drop off all of the fender, door and bumper hardware. I can’t wait to see it in person.

Great shots, Are you planning on re-spraying the interior of the shell as well?

Just the rear hatch area, the rest will remain original as it is in good condition.
