EFI what to do with the old distributor
I am doing a full EFI & ignition modification, with the help of a local system supplier. With this mod I will have no need for the old distributor. But what to do with that hole where the old distributor used to sit? Cover it up or put aq distributor in without connecting it? Some of you gurus must have done this before. Looking for advice on this point

It it's a single distributor engine, one option is to use an expanding plug to fill the hole, but that makes you with the threaded stud and tightening nut visible.

You have options (I think):

Also, didn't Hans offer a similar part?
ETA: Here's another - https://www.clewett.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=309
ETA2: If you like and can use the 3D printed part, I can probably modify it for you to include some embossed text, or the Porsche crest. I've been trying to learn some simple CAD skills and this would be reasonably straightforward (I think). I can't make the part for you in a material that would be good for high temperatures, but there are reasonably priced commercial services out there.
Good luck

I like the idea of the block off plate, but the blcok off plate must not be flat but needs a ring and gasket to seal it off. And a block off plate with only one bolt will probably not stay in place and keep it sealed. If it has to do all of that with one attachment point it needs to have a ring with a groove that goes into the hole, with a gasket around it.I was thinking about using a replacement distibutor, one that is no good but just for show, with no green wire and capping off the wire connections. But surely no one has a distibutor as a left-over?
