Status Reprt:
I now have just about all of the previously formed Pans hand finished to the last milling stage and I am going out shortly to do the milling needed. I am also working up the needed packaging for shipping several Pans recently requested.
I have found in the past with this Project that the shipping caron that I had selected for these pans was not really sufficient for the abuse that they endure in the process. So, I have devised a program of beefing them up. I first glue the bottom tabs together then I glue two pieces of thin plywood into the sides of the carton to give it some strength. That takes me a day or so per carton or two. I have a few of them done now and will have the rest done shortly.
I now expect to have all of these last orders ready to package and ship, shortly; but now i have a scheduled surgery on my left hand for early in the morning which may put me off in getting some of these in the mail. Stand by for some fairly short delay.

QUOTE from above: "Jim: Why don't you stay out of this since you are not even one of us any more?"
In my humble opinion, Jim Mayzurk will ALWAYS be one of us. He has been an attendee at many 928 events, including Frenzy, even though he has the engine in the wrong place (and is missing 2 cylinders/pistons) on his current Porsche ride.
His GTS was a beautiful and improved upon car when he finally allowed someone else to be the caretaker.

What exactly is stupid about his statement. When Porsche no longer supplies a part, we enthusiasts must make our own. Also when a newly designed part is better than the factory part isn't that a good idea? Aren't headers an improvement over the factory manifolds, how about the x-pipe, or your wheel well liners, or Rogers intake filter system. I could go on but you're coming across as sour grapes. You made a business making 928 parts, and got undercut by another business, so put your big boy pants on, grow up and move on.
No..he's retired and a hobbiest looking to help out.
The spite house went up when he couldn't get his $50 for shifting the end product for Jerry.
Using the power of a commercial business to cut the knees out of a community hobbiest is an interesting hill to declare you are "for the community" on.

Jim M has nearly 5K posts on Rennlist.. Many of those were contributions to the 'how to do it on a 928' category. And, he has nearly 500 'Likes'.
That's good enough for a congregational seat for many of us old timers (but obviously not a universal opinion)..

Maybe so; but in this context he is clearly a Roger Tyson enthusiast and not a 928 enthusiast; and they are most clearly not quite the same.

I hesitated to respond to Jerry's typical child like response to my post but; He is correct, I no longer own a 928. But when I moved on I said to myself "I gave up the 928, but I'll never give up the 928 community." I still attend 3rd Coast every year and our First Saturday breakfasts, every month. I also read the 928 forums on a daily basis. So I feel I am very much a part of the 928 community. I also post helpful information on the 928 forum when I am able to add constructive information. The Porsche club has a saying "It's not the cars, but the people." Maybe Jerry needs to try that approach in the future.

Now that I am no longer a 928 enthusiast (according to Feather) I can take my ball and go home. Just another stupid statement!!!
Jim - you are 110% a member of the 928 community and will always be so. You have done more than most for the 928 community. Your support for the 928 community is much appreciated.

I agree that Jim speaks for himself, but maybe some other people do that as well! Maybe most all of us do!!
Cheers to all fellow 928 enthusiasts, and I'm very happy that so many of the 928 'old timers' are still active in the community whether or not they now own the only V8 automobile Porsche made between 1978 and 1995. They became and remain friends because of our shared interest in this car.
