Cheers to all fellow 928 enthusiasts, and I'm very happy that so many of the 928 'old timers' are still active in the community whether or not they now own the only V8 automobile Porsche made between 1978 and 1995. They became and remain friends because of our shared interest in this car.

Agreed, we dont want to become what we hate the most. Now..people can vote themselves off the island, some have and *gasp* the world still goes 'round in their absence.

But we're not cliquy porsche people. "Ohh..a 928s not a real Porscheeee..."

Except first gen Boxters, screw those guys. *totally kidding*.

I was making very good progress with finishing up the dozen or so of these Early 928 Belly Pans for shipment, having only to mill the adjustment slots into the wings of all of them and then milling a bit of clearance at the tops of the wings for screw clearance. After I had milled the first slot a C-clip sprung off on the shaft holding the Quill handle and disappeared. Then in investigating what that was all about i noticed that the slot around the shaft for the clip is now somehow pulled back into the mill head. Now I have to take the mill head apart to see what is going on there. On top of that I also had a hand surgery scheduled for early Tuesday which was completed and that in now kind of holding me back some. I think that will resolve itself enough by early next week so that I can get to the mill repair. This weekend I am going to be out of town for an event that has come up; so it looks like I will be late next week getting some or all of these Pans in the mail.

I finally got the mill back into working condition so I can finish these up. I'll be working on that today and hope to get some of these in the mail this week.

I got a second belly pan from Jerry - first was beautiful - too much so to put on the car, so i kept it as a spare. This second belly pan arrived beautifully packed. I wanted this unfinished once as i wanted to use truck bed liner spray on the outside, but keep bare aluminum finish on the inside (easier to see things on the pan when fitted to the car.) Looking forward to fitting it after i replace the steering rack bellows...

I polished the inside of my belly pan with Nuvite. I use on our 67 Airstream. It's made for vintage airplanes and it really does the trick
