No worries, I was just teasing. But that looks fantastic. Nice job!

Sorry about that as well....guilty as charged. As soon as we move into the new house (end of Feb) I'll be able to re-install my lift and move the 928 in and get some photos. I have a full plate at the moment.

^^^^^ Glad to see there are some of these out there being used.

Just an FYI, this is how I calibrate the scale to read:

Hey, I stumbled on this post by accident while searching for a tool to help me adjust my Lotus Elise ride height. Do you know how difficult it would be to modify the tool to measure from 100mm to 135mm?

Also, I have always wanted a Porsche and hope to own one sometime in the near future so maybe stumbling into this is a sign

Default Ride Height Gauge - Lotus Elise (100-135)

Here you go. I didn't print it to test, but it should work.

Not familiar with those, what do they look like? Are they screw on? If so, the threads probably won't print.

Default What material to print this in?

Hi,

I submitted your files to Craftcloud for an estimate but I don't know which material to specify (they have 127 different ones).

Also do you have any recommendations for material colors to help make it readable?

Thanks,
Tom

Mine are PETG-CF for the probe and PETG for everything else.
Choose any color you like but consider contrast for readability. Black on silver for the scale is always good.

Thanks for the quick reply.

What Infill % should I use? The standard is 20%. Will that be enough or should I go higher?
If you haven't guessed already this is my first 3D printing project...

20% should be fine. I used 100% for everything but the base, body, and ****, which were 22%. Honestly, it really doesn't matter as long as the parts print. Some of the parts are so small or thin that top/bottom layers and perimeters cause it to be 100% naturally. Often I will change percentages midstream in a part depending on the details of the part.

Also, the text could be printed right into the main parts but I made them separate files because they are the most likely areas to cause problems and there's nothing worse that the last 5% of a three hour print causing a bad part.

Once you really get into 3D printing you start to look at part design completely differently. I always consider support, wall thickness, resolution & detail, etc. when designing part to print. I also play with the direction of infill for some parts for various reasons. But then again, I can be a bit **** about details that probably don't matter.

Cheers,
