I got one from 928 Motorsports back in the day, and had a local shop fit it. They told me it required "a good bit of adjusting." Made me glad I didn't try to do it myself.

This is the first few feet of the exhaust that was bolted to the MSDS headers on my GTS before I removed them. I'm going to see if my local custom exhaust shop can use these as a pattern to build an x pipe.

Jake has started work on mine, I think these might be MSDS headers.

First section from headers, will have 3 inch system.

Yep, those look like MSDS headers.

You should consider getting yours blasted and jet coated.

Here's mine.

Why don't you just knock the rust off, and have that coated and re use it?

I have my mind set on stainless steel, like X pipes and want to incorporate cats.

How loud and/or drone-y is this setup, it's nearly identical to what i planned on building for my '82

1st thing I would do with those headers is cut the mounting flanges between cylinders. Stainless thermal expansion rate is half of aluminum.

Jake, with Baun Performance here!

Kevin I’d be happy to help with your X pipe project if you’re willing to make the trip to Clover, SC (just south of Charlotte, NC).

Here’s the full photo dump from the MSD back system I completed today, and I can link a video below to the 928 Euro system I built a few years ago (OEM manifolds).

Here’s the link to the OEM manifold Euro (driving clips at the end!)

I’ll have a similar video on the MSD equipped car this weekend.

Jake, I'll definitely reach out to you for the x-pipe and exhaust back. Sounds like an interesting winter project.

I also have a Devek level 2 set of headers that I'd like the same treatment.
