The timing assembly took all daylight yesterday. All that remains is the starter, sway bar mounts that wiring cable holder at the right side of the cam cover and a coolant refill.

Oil leak from the rubber boot on the tensioner caused me to remove it. This time I noticed the metal circlip holding the outer rod is missing.
And the metal strip for the tension light snapped right where the round part begins.
So fun and games yesterday pulling and putting it all back together in melting snow. The worst feeling for me is working on my back on the wet ground and water dripping onto my face and running down my hands and sleeves.
At least I didn't have to drain the coolant and remove the radiator.
Got a used 944 fuel level sender in excellent condition.
Back to the drudgery of office work today. Tomorrow I fire her up.

Put it all back together. Got tach bounce, power at the injectors, all relays click except for the fuel pump. Jump the relay the pump works but it still won't start.
I need a break from this car. This car hates me.

LOL! I think you said that while working on the last one, too!

OK easy check,
finger on each running relay,
kneeling at the CE panel turn the key to run.
one at a time to feel for a click
X bus,
NOTE not the position X relay
LH,.
EZK,
FP ,will have to be cranking.
Have a helper listen for the FP running after you start cranking.
NOTE verify that you have all the relays in the correct positions
post a picture of the CE panel
If all good,
then spray some ether into the intake and crank it to see if it will fire.

Sorry for the double message the app gave me an error when I first sent it.
I didn't mention no spark either. The owner gave me better/used set of ignition wires that I installed.
So new CPS, knock sensors, timing belt, bearings, water pump, wires, rebuilt MAF and LH.
Tach movement when cranking
But no spark and no fuel.
I checked the connection at the CPS last night and it looks fine.
I worry about the Hall sensor since I knocked it out of position when routing the engine harness

Ok so you know you have no spark pull a few plugs to see if they are fouled
Did you connect the two grounds at the back of the V in the engine?
are you positive that the CPS connector is not swapped with the TPS
Note the fuel pump won’t run till the engine is cranking and the computer is getting a signal from the CPS this turns on the FP relay

Didn't think it was possible to swap the TPS and CPS. Anyway there is a problem with the CPS because when cranking it's not so much as a bounce than a swing and wiggle.
I have a couple of hours to mess with it.
There is power at the coils and left engine harness connection but no power at the right engine harness connection. Is that normal?
