Actually lesson learned here - using an inductive heat tool is a bad idea for removing this bearing race. The larger hunk of metal - the hub, heats more than the bearing race. Using a torch on the race is the way to win as you are only heating the bearing race.

Yes, it may have been better to go that route. It looked like a lot of metal to cut and I wanted to try this OTC Stinger I got on Amazon warehouse in the distant past::

I've had good luck with the inductive heater, which didn't take very long and I didn't have to get it so hot as to change colors. The process I used was to heat the race up while using 2 large flat-blade screwdrivers to lift it off. I think It took less than 30-45 seconds to get it hot enough to slide it straight up. I did have an extra set of hands helping with the "Lifting,"....i.e., I ran the heater, and the other person managed the screwdrivers.
I guess if you went HAM and left the induction heater on too long, you'd heat up both parts, defeating the purpose. I can't think of many cases where the induction isn't the better choice than the torch on ferrous metal. Scaple vs. sledgehammer.
The bearing puller could work if you have enough gap to get the thing under the part. Also worth a try (good idea) if you don't want to go with heat.
