lol, me, contemplating "Life's decisions" and NOT giving into defeat..... "the semi"

lunched the hub about 150 miles earlier, then the single left over tire, gave out- pop goes the weasel on that guy,, stopped me in my tracks.. I mean semi-tracks

Really only bought it for the 85.5, and its a Blue Blue 5 speed, 53k miles, and my better half, she has the most blue-ist eyes.. but she fought me like an X....tons of documents, on this one.

Blue 928s are the best 928s.

That's a very tasty spec- 1986.5 5-speed with limited slip, sport shocks, no rear air, and blue everywhere. Good catch!

That looks like a great project,
I would figure about 20K to 25K in parts, with you pushing the wrenches.
includes the new carpet kit and maybe a dash refurbishment
Adding in Camel / Champaign/ Carmel colored carpets will make the interior more inviting.
Good luck with your project.

Here is my Ruby project for an idea of whats coming.

Ruby 1984 Auto project

Interior color change on the carpets from an all blue interior, see this.

1988 Grand Prix white just rolled in, Project

Looks similar to my car when I got it. I figure I'm probably in mine $15k or so at this point to give you another number.

I also have a fondness for blue 86.5 five speeds with limited slip and no rear air.

Of the 4, this one's motor didn't turn over.- from the crank As posted, I winched it on the trailer, in neutral, but the rears were locked up. I assumed, or still assume the clutch plate is stuck, trans is stuck, rear is stuck, or rear (both) calipers are stuck.. or the motor is stuck.... or all of the above. lol

When the complete rear of the car was up in the air, the rears would wiggle, just a wee bit, so maybe NOT the calipers. I may pull the half-shafts out. to get it to roll, and then move forward.. More to come. it is in neutral. (also to note- the steering is still locked) can I call Porsche and have them send me a key? how's this work? this black-N-blue girl is kicking my tail

HEADED SEATs- Definitely my girls Car!!
Locking Differential 40%--- at this point maybe 100%

Porsche will sell you a key if you show them the VIN plus your title/proof of ownership. Not sure on how long it takes these days, cost, or the odds the key will work. Alternatively you can disassemble a door lock cylinder and give the lock tumbler numbers to these guys in Australia:

https://www.keys4classics.com/vehicles/porsche/928/

Keys4classics will be cheaper and faster (and will probably work better...) but this assumes that your door lock is the same as the ignition cylinder.
