Default 89 GT AC Issues

Hi everyone, my next project for the car is to fix my ac issues. Here's the situation: When I change the temperature via the controls there is an audible whistling noise coming from infront of the gauge cluster. The temperature does increase to hot/decrease to ambient when I adjust the slider. The slider for direction also works and will turn on the front defroster when selected. The previous refrigerant that was put in leaked out so there is nothing to see looking through the glass up front. In addition the two front fans are operating and the ac radiator is not hot. Any thoughts? Just trying to have some cold ac in florida lol

OK the system is out of refrigerant it would be wise to have the system flushed and new O rings and flex hoses at the compressor,
Keep the system R 12, get 3 cans on CL.
drain and refill the compressor with fresh mineral oil.
The squeal is the setting motor moving,
I wanna say they all do that.

Thanks for the info! Would you happen to know the sizes/quantity for the o-rings/flex hoses? Thanks

Roger bags/tags the orings very nicely. It makes getting the replacement of some 20+ orings easier for AC newbies.

Great! What's the best way to get in contact with Roger, does he have an online storefront to buy from?
