Default AT Shifter Question

I remember that I saw somewhere online a shifter kit for AT's that included a leather/vinyl boot and a shift **** wrapped in leather/vinyl. Instead of a button on the side like a t-shift ir on top kinda like a parking brake (if the parking brake was vertically mounted), the shift was achieved by depressing on the **** and selecting the appropriate gear. I can't remember where I saw it. I checked the big3 and jager and I couldn't find what I saw. Has anyone else seen this?

This one uses the original boot but pushes down without a button.

Jager Engineering now has a new version of their shift **** with a larger button. Looks awesome and is likely even better to use. Can't wait to get one of those... My understanding is that you can order this one in most materials available in their interior program.

I always felt the Momo ***** look out of place in a 928 - too "tech" for my taste.

Here is the latest Jager ****:

Hi, the shifter is the one from landshark oz. Quick carl is making a handsome profit on the item.

How many of you have modded your AT shifter? I'm curious. The one pictured above is very attractive. I'm contemplating the change myself. Are there any problems with changing these shifters?

I have had a Jager shifter in my auto for some time now and recently changed it to a full (Burgandy) Leather shifter and boot.

I like the Momo shifters coupled with the leather boot to replace the rubber accordian-shaped stock part.

Shane/BigDave - do you have pics you can post? Shane - do you have any pics of your prev. Jager? Also, why did you change it out?

I changed out the t-handle shifter because the leather was shot and the handle was broken and too expensive to replace. The first shifter I got from Jager was the carbon tip shifter with stainless actuator button. Although it was nice, I am not a fan of fake or real carbon fiber look and replaced that with the full leather shifter in burgandy to match my interior. I don't have any pics of either one but you can see both on the Jager website. Very nice upgrade and quite fun for shifting your car on the street or the track!

Shane - how difficult was it to install the Jager shifter? I really like the looks of the Burlwood (image above) with matching leather boot. Just not sure if I would want the full boot or short boot to keep the trans. selector guide...

It takes maybe ten minutes tops. Pretty easy upgrade, and all the Jager shifters come with instructions.
