Default 928 International

THIS IS A BIG THANK YOU!

So I was ready to spend $500 at 928 International.
Was on the phone with Jim, he seems to know what he's talking about (better than the "experts" at the local Porsche dealer Reeves - but this is easy to accomplish).
Explained what I need and why (a/c control unit, center console switches).
Got a lesson on how to repair the a/c control unit and that the center consloe switches never were backlit. The lesson was free, the sale was nil.
Ended up spending $2.34 locally to get a set of bulbs (they don't come single - so Jim, if you need one I FedEx it to you!).
The problem was fixed in a little less than an hour - one happy camper here!

Jim, thank you. And you guys out there, support 928 International! Advice for free and loosing a sale with a smile doesn't come often. Hope my car has problems soon, so I can support you myself, Jim (just kiddin').

Actually, free advice does come often from 928 Int'l and I'm sure results in many lost sales. I don't know about the smile part though (hard to tell over the phone) I'm just surprised Mark hasn't fired Jim's ass outta there a long time ago. Its cost him a fortune I'm sure to keep Jim around.

If I said it once i've said it a thousand times. There's only one name in the 928 parts biz . . And that is 928 Int'l.

Really awesome guys there. I love being able to say,
"Hey Jim, its Barry from Washington. I need ***, **, and ***."
"Ok, you want that charged to your card?"
"Yeah, go ahead, and ground shipping."
"Ok, it'll be out tomorrow."

Thats the best!

Sorry, dude but that is not the best! My conversations usually end "Ok, it'll be out TODAY." That is the best!

They ROCK! Very professional outfit and usually can read my mind when I can't quite describe what I really want.

I like the fact that I don't have to talk to them! Of the big three, they've got the best on-line ordering system--so, I can order crap at 3:00 in the morning and not have to worry about time-zones. Always receive e-mail the following day letting me know they got the order and another e-mail later that day letting me know it was shipped. Priceless!

...When i ask for the "you know, that thing that goes there between the two ...." They ALWAYS know what i am talking about. I guess they have some training in the million meanings for "thing"

Thanks for the nice comments we all do try very hard to treat people they way we would like to be treated when we order something. It makes our job much easier that we ONLY sell 928 parts and only sell parts no service. Again thanks for the comments .......

yup, same thing. but they usually ask WHICH card do you want this on
Some goes on the "joint account" ..some on my "SKUNK WORKS" account depending on the price and the size of the package

Bruce, i love your avatar. Simple but so to the point. It made me laugh.

928I is without a doubt the best parts supplier anywhere regardless of make/model,
when I initially ordered an air pump for the Queen (never had one previously) I forgot to order the bracket and bolt, called back the next day, lo and behold JB already had it packed and ready to ship knowing that I had forgotten to order it... "insert Twilight Zone theme"
