Selling My Supercharged S4
there comes a time in a boys life, especially when he walks by his car everyday, that it is not used enough and would be better off in someone elses hands. I am selling my 1989 Grey/grey, Eaton/intercooled S4 6.5 psi boost. It has 115k mi, 5 Speed (great gearing). I have no time to work on my car (small kids job, you know the routine) as it took me over a year to get it finally dialed in as it had a manifold leak that took me some time to find. Now that it is dialed in, I still don't even have time to drive the beast. The exterior is in great shape with some minor nicks, I installed gts mirrors, clubsport sticker(for fun), and the rear was hit in a parking lot and subsequently replaced with a GTS rear bumper. Big reds, up front, Devek Radiator, Level 1 Devek Coils, Konis, swaybar. Forgelines (17") with firestones all the way around. Interior drivers seat has a tear from PO as well as some bolster wear. I have all records.Brian Donaldson will be upset as we worked side by side installing the S/C, and he has become a good friend. Call me on (619) 247-8416, or e-mail me at pwatson5@***.net, the car is in the San Diego Area. $15k

I looked at this car last year. Pete is a great guy and a straight shooter. Let me volunteer my assesment of that car as it was last fall.
Exterior Cosmetics were 8 out of 10. IIRC there was one tiny rust spot on the rear window. Nothing major.
Interior needed a good cleaning, but there were no rips or tears that really stood out. I'd give it 7 out of 10.
Now, when I went to drive it there was something wrong. The car had no power. It was running way lean. Idled fine, but when you gave it full power, there was nothing. When i drove it, I noticed the front fuel line between the 2 rails was kinked and cracking. Looks like Pete took care of this and some other issues. However, I would recommend that anyone interested in this car run a compression test at a minimum. The other thing I noticed was the way the throttle cable is run makes it hard to modulate the throttle. Not sure if Pete took care of this either. This is an inherent issue with Andy's kit which is easily corrected, but I thought I should mention it.
If the compression checks out this is a smokin' deal. Pete's a great guy, so if you are interested I'd jump on it and get it checked out. If it pans out, then you got a great deal.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask me. I'll try and answer as best I can.

24hrs and it hasn't sold yet? I can understand the reluctance of Ca buyers due to smog issues, but out-of-state buyers should be all over this! Basically getting the installed and sorted supercharger for free....C'mon, somebody buy this as an ORR car!
Post some pics if you have them. Any dyno sheets?

Thanks Andrew, I got the engine sorted out, it was a hole that was drilled (from andy) , I filled the hole and bingo the car ran great! I am glad you got your GT and your supercharger set up is beautiful.
