The CDR220 looks really nice. Do you have to use a different face plate with a different screen angle?
I heard these were available from SW as well.

When I ordered it, he mentioned I needed a different face plate. My receipt from Stefan says CDR-220 with Euro front, whatever that means. For what it's worth, it's perfectly visible from my driving position, which is with the seat ALL the way back (I'm 6'4")

Blaupunkt Seattle
I have the Blaupunkt Seattle and it's just okay. It has some nifty features like playing MP3 CDs, AUX in, several RCA outs, and customizable screens and colors, but it just doesn't blend in the best. Better than some, but nothing like the Becker!

I don't have a picture of it installed yet. However, it looks great in there, much better than the Denon was in the car when I got it. The Denon stuck out from the console about 1/2 inch, but this one is perfect.

I have the GT300 for about a year now. It's a pretty good radio. It has mp3 playback, sub-out an mp3 player/aux input and CD-changer control, which I needed. The disadvantage of the flap/screen is to attach the front. I take it off every night, so nobody is tempted to break the 3-times more expenisve window. While leaving, mostly I'm halfway down the street, with my seatbelt in one hand, and the radio-front in the other. It's kind of hard to attach with one hand. So now I take the time to attach it. Just slide one pin in the slot and click in the other side. After some time you get used to it, but I still think they could make it easier.
Another thing I don't like is the one source button. I'm kind of a switcher when it comes to music, so you have one button which switches tuner-CD-aux-tuner. Under another button in the CD-mode, you can switch from CD1 (in head CD) and CD2 (CD/MD-Changer). This button is one of the eight buttons under the display, which is also strange. These 8 buttons all look exactly the same, while the first 2 are for settings and the rest is for radiostations 1-6. I tend to press the wrong button. I solved this by connecting the safety commander.
For the stock speakers the power is more than enough. If you have high powered upgrades it still is sufficient, but a booster or amp would improve. I use the active sub from Sony XS-AW200X. It's small, has a great sound and nicely fits under the rearedge of the backseats.

One problem with new decks is they are all silver....with multi color backlighting that doesn't really look good in a 929......the becker 220's look great in a 928......I really wanted a black deck to match the rest of the interior.....I found this Sony...in a dark grey aluminum look....looks good and sounds great....all my speakers drive off the deck (amp was bypassed and removed)......had it for 6 months....so far so good!

Nice radios, but I'm shopping for a unit with a built in XM system. Right now, I've got that bulky unit stuck to my windshield , and I would like a nice sounding unit with built in XM. Any suggestions for on line shopping other then Crutchfields for a good selection and prices

Some rather poor shots of my Eclipse head unit from Fujitsu Ten. Has E-Com, haven't figured out what that is, and isn't compatable with....
