My guide to straighten warped interior quarter panels
I wrote a little tutorial about removing the panels here. I promised that once I finished straightening the panels I would write about that as well. Please provide feedback so I can adjust the tutorial if some things don't make any sense. Thanks.

Another nice job. These two guides should get permanent link status in the FAQ.
I was thinking about water treatment too to loosen the set in the fiberboard, but I wasn't sure if the board would tolerate it without disintegrating into a crumbled mess. So, thanks for performing that experiment.

Scott,
Now I am intrigued as to what other projects you gonna be undertaking and sharing with us? What about a keyless alarm system, a Crimestopper 865 RKE II that is? :-))

We still need to get together so I can ride in your new rocket. How was dyno day with Woody?
To be honest with you... I'm not very mechanical. I love tinkering, but if you give me an engine problem, I'll be lost. I have a desire to learn though, and since this forum seems to be the place to do that I figured I would give back what little I can as I know I'll take far more.

Nice... I had seen a picture similar to that which gave me the idea for what I did. I actually first tried the ruler method, but my warp was wider than the ruler.

I got both panels and both A-pillars recovered for $300 out the door. I asked them not to cut out the holes for the stock speakers, but they did anyway. I've got the speakers and grilles so it's not that big of a deal though. I'm just happy I no longer have warped and mangled rear interior quarters. That was a major eyesore when the rest of the interior is in very good shape.
I think they did a good job for $300. Not outstanding. But good.

Hey nice job Outlier, both on the re@re and the fix. I'm sure its gonna help out alot of folks. What with new panels costing a small fortune a little imagination goes a long way when restoring these cars!
