WYAI when the motor is out
Guys,
suggestions on a WYAI list when you have the motor removed? Motor is done- Timing belt/water pump/tensioner rebuilt
New Oil pan gasket
New Cam cover gaskets
New motor mounts
New coils/plugs/caps/ rotors
New Red Nology wires
New knock sensors
New TDC sensor
new idle stabilized valve
new flappy valve
New hall sensor
New O2 sensor
All new vacuum lines
New starter
New intake gaskets
New injector seals
--Going to replace the bad torque tube
any other suggestions? steering or tranny related?
thanks much

Silver with Black, nice color combo.
I'm with the other Mike, any of the suspension, upper & lower a-arms or just bushings will be easier while you've got the space. Tie rods OK? Boots? I just found out one of my tie rods is bent. I can't understand why it doesn't feel wrong when I drive it but it's got a definite hook to it.

How about a set of new injectors. They are cheap (~$200/set). Just make sure you buy the Ford Motorsport units and not the Porsche OEM, otherwise the price will be 8x more.

I for one would buy the complete gasket kit for the 87 motor. There are smaller seals in there that you are leaving out of your list. A few that come to mind are the 3 or seals that are by the coolant bridge, and the donuts that seal the spark plug holes under the valve cover by the head. All these come in the kit.
