Thak you all for the constructive crit. I have taken them all into consideration - Nicole- the rear is massive, this is because I designed it around the wheels that were chosenfor the race car- they are 993 gt2 deep dish bbs look alikes - this needed the huge rear fenders, yes the front has been widened by 80mm to keep the track similar to a 911 turbo - the handling is vastly improved with the wider rear rubber, but I agree it does not need to be that wide at all. I may scrap this design alltogether and go back to the drawing board and start a fresh.

Gavin, I didn't realize that you were the guy who did Fat Bully. What happened to the idea of offering Fat Bully kits? Pierre had told me that you were thinking of doing that at one time. Most everyone agrees that Fat Bully is by far the coolest and most well done widebody the 928 world has ever seen. Having said that, I went back and gave Fat Bully another look. Guess what!!! There are ALOT of similarities between this silver car and Fat Bully. The rockers for instance. It seems that most of us have decided we don't like them on this car, but we loved them on the Bully. It appears that the front end is very similarly shaped as well. I say, photoshop the front spoiler so that its silver and it may balance everything out. Fat Bully was all one color and that may have been part of what made it a success. At least in photo's.

Anyway, I don't like to cut down anyones efforts. It is a great piece for what it is and appears first class in its own right.

This was my reaction as well. I think the general look is great, but the details aren't quite right. But I don't think it needs much:
-I think the front, it's just the lights that are the problem. Tony's mockup without them looks good.
-I think the bumper and rear flares look fantastic, but I think getting rid of all the seams is what lets it down, and makes it look too long, as Keith said. I think having the seam for the hatch there, but not for the bumper gives it an unnatural look, I know the idea of a smooth continuous rear end sounds good, but I don't think it works, and practically, Jim B brought up a good point. If you can do the flares into a reworked bumper and have them separate, it would look good.
-along those lines, I like the black spoiler on the front, and maybe along the lines of my above comment, some type of black splitter on the back bumper might balance things out better, and perhaps if it somehow came around on the sides, might mitigate some of my comment about the rear bumper.
Overall, l like the design.

i like it a lot. i would add GTS mirrors and put back in the line between the rear pu and the rear quarter pannel, also id replace the standard front flip up lights for something less conservative and more aggressive.
i think the rocker pannels look fantastic as do the gills, the front bumper lights are growing on me. the rear arches also look very nice. i like the contrast between the lower spoiler colour and body colour.

the more i look at it the more i like it especialy the sideskirt/rocker pannel and the way it meets the rear quarter and extends from the front - dont change this! i do agree that the front end looks too blunt with the straight edge running across it and that the front openings are too vast and not likely to be improving the aerodynamics which are essential for a porsche.

Jammer man, dis my opinie

It looks like the car melted.
Not trying to be harsh with my wording, but melted is the feeling I get.
The front "chin" looks "droopy", and so does the rear.
The side skirts are really wacky, and I don't like those at all.
I'm a fan of body kits. I have a whole website of them.
But I can tell you from listening to 928 owners,
that probably 90% of them LOVE the stock look of the 928.
It's only 10% that like extreme concepts.
So if you want to sell kits in any great number, they have to be subtle.
Not crazy.
If you do something crazy, like this, you will sell one or two kits.
If you do something really smooth, really clean, and really slick,
you might sell more like 30 kits, instead of just one or two.
You need to start with the stock lines, and stock curves,
and just exagerate them...
This has always been one of my favorites:
And this:
They are wide, and aggressive, but not totally wild and crazy.

I liked it. I think the rocker panels need to be toned down slightly, and concur with the need for some aero mirrors and a wing for some rear balance. and, yes, make the chin spoiler body colored... although, someone mentioned a two tone fade paint job... that would be cool. grey and silver, or black and grey... or even just multi tone reds or blues etc. nice work though... keep it up!

I have to agree with Brian (bcdavis) on all that he had said. While many like to look at a "different" type of 928, a majority will never do it to their own cars.
I also agree with Brian on the subtle lines in body kits. The first photo he shows is by far the nicest wide body I had ever seen..I love that car and have several pics of it. Thats a kit I would consider for my cabrio.
Here is another one I like along the same lines...

It's wide, but you'd never guess it was "flared"!
It's the difference between a wider fender, that is totally smooth,
and a body kit that looks like it has obvious flares, skirts, air-dams, etc...
To me, the key to making it look good, is making it look stock.
So you look like you have a really rare wide body 928,
not some rice-boy body kit...
