Default SITM trip from Atlanta

I don't know anyone who is going, except maybe Mike M from Cumming....anyone interested in a caravan from the Atlanta area???

I live in Alpharetta and wouldn't mind joining up with anyone else driving up from Atlanta to Boone for SITM.

We were planning on leaving Friday after lunch? Or whenever....

I registered with 928 International, reserved a room...do I need to do anything else?

Please advise.

I am leaving around lunch time, too. Keep me posted on a possible caravan.

Are you sure you are going to the right place?

Hey Andrew, whats your schedule on the Dragon? We plan on coming up to Banner Elk on Thursday, but have no specific plans yet for Friday.

Lynn and I are going, but we will be leaving a bit early to help Jeannie with the annual madness, so we will see you there!

Oops...I guess I meant 928 Specialists...and Banner Elk, but I think Boone is in the same area...wrong sponser, wrong town, wonder if i'll find the right hotel...North carolina right (I think i have the state right). I was very tired when posting this last night...

I delivered a new baby and haven't rested up yet...brought a new 88 Targa home this weekend from Detroit...the shark has a new brother. (see my 911 air/oil cooled post for picture link).

I'm in Marietta and am planning on attending, if I can pass emissions and get registered. I'd be interested in caravanning.

How are you guys going? Are you going to take 85, and then the varies roads up to Banner Elk?

My annual migration starts north on 400 to 306 to 369 across to 985 north that become 23 and then 23/441 until it reaches I40 and then it's east to Dave and Jeannie's.

My chances of making it to SITM are fading.....

Can't wait to meet the Georgia crew though!

We may be driving up Thursday but nothing's certain yet. If there's a caravan going Friday we'll most likely join in. I'll be in the GT and the wife in the ROW S4. I'll let someone else decide the route since my choice last year didn't work out so well.

Well it sounds like a few of us are going from the north end of Atlanta. That's good.

I like the route up GA 400 and over to 985 to 441 north/ northeast, etc.... The 441 part is a nice drive, it is not as fast as I-85, but some nice sweeping divided highway roads, and the scenery is better. (I hope this isn't were you got rearended Mike).

Maybe we should start making some plans. Like a meeting place off GA 400 (near Dawsonville maybe). Then maybe some proposed times (how long is the trip 4-5 hours?), cell phone numbers, etc...

I know I'm driving the shark but my wife is still trying to decide if she wants to cruise up in something with the top down or off.
