The more I think about it, the more I think I need another 928....something mechanically solid, but cosmetically challanged (by my standards anyway)...so I won't worry about it so much....I worry way too much about mine...about gave myself an ulcer this week figuring out the fuel pump problem!!

George provided me a photo of my trap speed, not on the level of my big brothers in the 145 & 160 classes, but I’m very proud of it

Thanks George

Bill I agree on the bugs, a little bug guts splashed up on the sides of the car but no real smell. It must be the tread on the BFG KDW2’s

Rich, the harnesses knew the way to the podium thats for sure. Lets se if we can retire them in style. Since there almost ready to be retired, maybe when we're done with them I can get a piece for my very small trophy case

The road I took that was infested with crickets was Hwy 6. On the return trip, I made a point of taking 80 and it was clear. I also checked with some locals before deciding on the route.

Matt: 138 is close enough to your 140 tech limit. Anything faster and you're too close to getting DQ'd! Get the rollbar installed and you can have more fun with the 168 tech limit. You shouldn't be in any danger of exceeding 168 tech unless there is a tailwind, so you can run flat out through the traps.

Hey Bill,

I agree we were flirting with tech on the return run. With a navigator and GPS it’s fairly safe to get close. My top speed down near the trap was 140 indicated GPS and I backed right off a tad. Checking it on Practice we found it to read just a click fast. The GPS only reads in full 1 mph increments above 100 mps on the screen we use. After the race we checked it and it showed our top speed as 139.8mph.

Next time will be in the 130 classe and won’t have to worry about breaking tech without making one big effort to do so. It all worked out in the end, after all I paid $35 Bucks for a speed certificate and wanted to get my moneys worth

Hey Brian...

Looking for another 928? I'll make you a hell of a deal. The thing is, you have to take both of them.

Does anybody else appreciate the skill it takes to get pictures like Jorg's of cars rocketing by at 140+ MPH, in focus, and with the wheels stopped so you can read the lettering on them? I am in constant awe of these pics!
