Car Trembles
#2
Under what conditions?, car hot or cold, stop and go driving, etc. Most Porsche clutches are pretty notorious for not liking to be hot, and during some stop and go traffic on a hot day my
GT's clutch will start to "judder" a bit, but clears up right away after a few miles of free driving. If yours is doing it all the time it may be time for a fresh clutch job complete with a flywheel resurface....
Hows the rear main seal? I have seen some oil leaks that can get into the clutch causing some
problems.

stop scaring it !!!.... one common cause for clutch chatter is the plastic bushing on the top of the clutch arm disintegrates and falls out . this allows the arm to ride too far forward so that the release bearing is not being pulled straight back this distorts the spring fingers of the pressure plate and lets the friction surface hit only part of the rear clutch disc and it "skips" and judders until it gets released far enough to catch completely . By removing the air cleaner lower housing you can look in the window at the top of the bellhousing and inspect the top of the clutch arm .
