Smile The Mother of all Porsches?

I'm sitting here watching the game and having a beer. My PC is in front of the TV (go figure) and I was doing a search on Porsche transmissions. This link, although not relating to transmissions came across. An interesting bit of Porsche History.

So I guess the Porsche numbering system extended to everything he did (i.e. the beetle being Type 63 and the Maus being 205).

I guess he was smart enough to realize that everything in our World revolves around numbers. Think about it ...it's true.

The factory, or design house rather, actually designs and builds all sorts of weird stuff including fork lifts and other industrial equipment... and sunglasses, of course!

I wonder how this one does on the track?

And it's a single cylinder!

GM built tanks. Mitsubishi built fighter planes. Those governments knew who to go to for the best equipment, and so did Hitler.- Ruf

I'd say the Cayenne is the "tanbk". Now if we can just get that twin turbo V8 wedged in there... Look out for that cross member... Oh, that's nice!

When that transplant happens I'm sure we'll hear about it right here on Rennlist. Can't wait. - Ruf

There has to be a TS motor someplace ready for the taking, if we only knew where?.

Didn't they mount a turret on a 928 for the movie "Leonard Part 6"? I have never been able to find a picture of it...

I thought I've seen a picture of it, but can't find it anywhere. Who has a copy?

The Porsche built Maus Panzers sucked, and were generally considered to be inferior designs wracked with terrible quality control and build quality(slave labor will have that effect, eh Ferdie?). Same is true for the Porsche turreted King Tigers(Tiger II).

Thankfully all our inferior Yankee(oh, and Russkie) weapons were very effective at blasting all that WWII era Porsche junk to so many bits.

Destroyed Porsche "Maus", one of only two known made examples.
