Default 89 GT production #s revealed

I had some time today to finish up compiling the numbers....
the formula... GT production started at vin 1100, I went back to vin 1075 just to make sure there weren't a couple snuck in early
I ran each vin seperately looking for 3 things
a) option 481 - manual transmission duh
b) option 639 - special model 89 GT
c) engine type M28/47
couple things I noticed, there were no S4 5spds made once GT production began, the few autos mixed in appear to be special orders but I didn't take the time to research them as I was more interested in getting the GT data than more S4 data to flood my brain more than it already is... GT production goes to the end of 89 production, Erkka's master vin list holds true, 1248-1249 is the end of 89 production
so...................................................................... ......
there were 109 89 GTs made for North America, again a MUCH HIGHER NUMBER THAN REPORTED...

Didn't someone already report a 89S4 5spd with a higher VIN (GT range)..I'll see if I can dig it up...

Next on your list should be the ultra ultra rare 91 GT..I think there are like 10 in the PACNW..Ferry Porsche only knows how many truly were made..

ha ha, i know 90 is probably is the most common, if you can call it that. thats been the myth at least, Rixter can prove or disprove that though.

fyi folks..... 89 was easy, there weren't that many #s to run... I have 3 weeks of class left and then I'm prepping for SITM... I'll get to 90-91 later this summer and will report those findings when I get them... please be VERY PATIENT

Rixster,
SO - do we know how many '89 5 speed S4's were produced? Might that variety be equally as rare as the '89 GT???

Inquiring minds want to know (I'd just like to know which of my two 928's is actually the rarest!!)

Someone mentioned to me that 5-spd S4's were still available right through to end of '91 MY, as special order. Think it may have been jon928se ?

as noted above, I only did '89 and I already have been corrected on 1 which I will double check... I have NOT checked any cars from 90-91 and will not until after SITM

109 is still a low number.

Anyway to figure how many of those 109 are not USA-spec? Canada? Mexico?
