Good 930S Steering Wheel
Has anybody tried this 930S steering wheel from DPS Motorsports?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Genui...QQcmdZViewItem
I ordered one on April 7 and received one on May 1 that had a damaged horn button cover, so I sent back the horn button and still have not yet received the replacement. Finally sent back the whole wheel in hopes of getting a replacement sooner, but that was 2 weeks ago. Slack business to be sure.
Anyway, the wheel seemed like an imitation and not original Porsche or Momo. Almost like a Chinese copy because the leather covering the horn button was half-*** glued on and the stitching on the entire wheel was very crude. And it arrived without any factory box, instructions, or anything you would expect with a $400 steering wheel. Just the steering wheel sloppily stuffed into a very high mileage cardboard box with hardly any packaging material, just a few newspaper wads (wonder how it got damaged?).
Anyway, if there are cheap ripoff imitations floating around out there and this is one of them, I would just assume cancel this deal and buy one from a supplier that is known to carry the real thing.

If there is an embossed crest on the horn pad it is real, if not it is a repro... I have three of these, and love them , got mine from Jeff Clark at Sunset Imports/Sunset Porsche.. His pricing was in the mid 3's...

The crest was pressed into the leather, not stitched. What do you think?
Do you have a link for Sunset Porsche?
Can you post a picture of one of your 930S steering wheels? With a close up of the crest as well.

jeffclark@sunsetimports.com , he is the man, without him my restoration of my 86.5 would not have happened and 928 intl of course.
Sounds like it is real... Mine came in nice Porsche boxes.. all safe and sound.

I bought my first one from a rennlister, my second one came from 928 Specialists, and the last one I bought recently I got from Roger at 928sRus, all are genuine Porsche 930 Sport wheels for the 928. I wouldn't settle for any other wheel in my 928s.

I received the wheel today in a Porsche box and appropriate packaging. It was undamaged this time and looks much better than the first they sent me.
It is the wrong one however, and fits only 911s.

I called Sunset today and talked to Bob. I'm just waiting on the refund from DPS then I'll order from Sunset. It'll be cheaper too, $404 total, so I'll be saving $15!! Hey, that's a case of beer!!

I got mine from Specialists....in fact I got two from them....the 1st one had a slight tear in it...so they replaced it right away for me! The 2nd one is perfect!
