My own RMB (Sort of)
Ok... Not really a RMB. More like a series of pipes.
When I got the car, and up to now, the rear muffler was missing. Which was leading to horribly annoying problem...
1) The engine sound was bouncing inside the hull. Making it horribly noisy inside.
2) The smoke was getting caught under the car... And always manage to find it's way inside. Which was potentialy dangerous to drive with the windows up!
3) Was also horribly ugly... As the smoke was coming out of under the car all around it. Was like if the car was on fire...
RMB are a bit expensive... Well not really, but I don't have plenty of cash.
Also, I only found dual exhaust tip... Which I don't like that much. Finally, it's a 16v... so no dual system.
Before :
After :
Bendable pipe :

How it look outside :
And to test my new photo camera, which also take video :
(BTW, LOVE the sound. Sound mean!)
Total Price : 110$CAN
Time : ~1h

But who am I to deny taking picture of something I love.
It's maybe not totally centered... But with the bendable pipe I got some space to move it a bit.

Well, it's made to go on an exhaust line. It's a really resistant pipe, quite hard to cut it, but it's also completly flexible.
As for the parts list :
- Ractive Oval Stainless Chromed Exhaust Tipe : 49,99$
- 2 Feet Flexible Exhaust Pipe : 13,49$
- Stainless Muffler Support : 34,49$
- Tube of Exhaust Cement : 3,99$
- 6" of Exhaust Joint Tube for 2" 1/4 : 4,99$
All found at Canadian Tire.
There was double tips parts... It was just a preference choice. So someone could easily replace the Ractive tips for a double one. I think Ractive also make some.

The tips has it's own connection to hold the pipe... So there is no cement there. Only at the 6" joint. And so far it seams to hold correctly. The text on the tube of cement says the longer I drive, the hotter the exhaust get, the stronger the paste become. Seams to work nicely so far.

There were 308 Ferrari guys in a forum that I was subscribed to that did the same thing. Autozone/Kragen Special with a fancy tip. Nothing wrong with it. Sounds amazing I'm sure!

i had the same problem except i took off the flange brought it down to the muffler shop with a piece of brake line i bent to the shape and length i wanted they bent the pipe and welded on the flang for like 40 bucks except i didn't get the fancy tip with mine i just cut the pipe on an angle after i mounted it sounded great then the middle muffler rotted out so back to the mufler shop i went i took the whole pipe from the muffler back this time they bent me the whole pipe all 7 feet by 2.5 inch for 60 bucks my friend and i welded the flange and hangers on ourselves now that exhaust sounds really awsome but it is a tad loud all my muscle car friends think i put a 350 in the thing how rude they are
you took the next step putting that tip on that looks awsome i will have to see what i can find to put on mine here great DIY fix

I don't have any welding equipment... But I should get some. One day. I'm actually not bad with welding.

I’ve used muffler cement before on small leaks but never as a structural connector. That stuff when fully cured is almost like dried clay and it isn’t really that strong. Keep a close eye on it cause I don’t think it will hold up. If you find it that the cement let go. Just go to the closest muffler shop and they can tack it on for you in 5 min ($15). I appreciate your effort and dedication to do this at home but a muffler shop could have made a proper tail pipe (using your tip) for less than what you paid at Canadian Tire.
