Default Side Mouldings Yea!! or Nea!!!

The mod got me thinking...

Do you like side mouldings on the 928.

I used to think they made the 928 sleeker and accentuated the design, but lately I have begun to like the older rounder body style and think the side mouldings actually disrupts the true lines of the 928.

What do you think?

I like them on the S4's but dislike them on OB's and GTS.

I used to think the same thing. I'm not sure which I like better, but every time I see one w/o the rub strips, I like it a lot. I can't answer if I'd like mine w/o though. Can't vote on this one.

No strips! That was a big criteria for me when I was looking for a 928. My first 928 had them and my current one does not, big improvement.

I like having them on the front fender and rear quarter sections, but not on the doors.

Don't like them but has saved the door from many parking lot dings.

Having owned S4 with and without side mouldings I would without a doubt say I like the car without.

The side mouldings take away from the subtle curves and make the car seem a bit slab sided. Pity the side moulding delete option is such a rarity.

No side moldings! No, no, no! They suck!

And yes, the OB body style is more flowing, I like it better, that's why an 86.5, sunroof delete, side moldings delete, 5sp, with LSD, white on black, is my dream 928. Heh heh...

If there was 2 deletes I would have ordered on a new 928:

no side moldings

no sun roof

They don't look great in pics, but in person it hardly makes a difference. Some colors are better with some better without too I have noticed. YMMV!
