AO if you drip some Techron on the backside of a dirty valve it will dissolve the carbon buildup, it does take some time for this to happen thus the caveat to do lots of short trips this lets the chemical have time to work

Correct -- if the one you are buying has 4 holes, it's universal. If it has 2 holes, make sure it's the right one.

I have a very carbonized head I need to clean. I'll pour techron in one combustion chamber, would anyone like me to test anything else in the other three holes?

Seafoam (didn't work for me), Berrymans Chem Dip, & ATF would be my 3 alternatives.

Ahh now i understand a little more. i just had the fuel rails off for
Injector hoses R&R. Oh well not too hard to do it again.
