Default DFW GTG & Tech Session

Hi Y'all,
This Saturday, May 2nd, we will be having our normal Monthly GTG at Andrew's in Bartonville starting at 8.30am.
Afterwards we will be giving Chuck a vasectomy at Brad's workshop - well we will be changing his rear shifter bushes on his 94 GTS.
Also a complete TB & WP on an 86.5. This will be filmed for a new documentary on the 928 by the cars owner and movie producer - Michael Brown.
All are welcome.
Roger

Rear shift coupler, rebuilding that, takes two bushings.

I'd love to be there but hopefully I'll have my shock protective tube from Leslie today or tomorrow so I'll be working on the 81 to get it back on the road. It's been almost 5 months since I've driven it. It's makin me crazy.

Sterling will be giving a tech session on cleaning the underside of my GTS and proper way to sweep Brad's floor as well!

I will be eating donuts and spending time drinking coffee with Joanne and her buddies. Sterling, come get me when you're done with the tech session!

Why do I have a hard time believing this thread?

First, because micro surgical techniques haven't evolved nearly enough. Secondly, I do not believe Brad is willingly going to allow the camera to roll in his shop. Maybe he's planning a colonoscopy snuff film!

So I'm going to ask this in the Austin thread as well, but

May 9th will be the Austin GTG. It's also a very significant day for me, as I will be taking (barring any unforseen issues) my 928 from Dallas to Austin. I will be taking Friday off that week, going to Dallas Thursday, spending Friday organizing everything, throwing all the parts that aren't installed in the back of the 928, digging through boxes for every screw, nut, bolt and fastener I might need, and general getting ready. Then Saturday morning I'm going to leave Dallas, and hopefully arrive in Austin in time for the GTG.

I was going to see if any of the Dallas guys wanted to drive your 928s to Austin this weekend too? Kind of a sending away bit, and a cool shark convoy. Yes, no, either way I'll be a happy camper all day.

I'm half tempted to drive up this weekend in celebration of the fact that I'm no longer working 60+ hour weeks! But I don't know, I have all sorts of plans. If they fall through however...

At the last TB party at Brad's, I learned that donuts go great with beer.
I think I'll break out the Stepson for this event.
Korwen, I'm not driving to Austin on the 9th, but I am coming down on either the 15th or the 16th (depending on when I get back from Kali with my newest addition to the stable)

John, please bring the Stepson. We need it for the initial shoot of the film. I'll call you today about it.

I need to replace the blower motor in my 89s4. Happen to have a good one I got last night from a local 928 guy!!! Thanks Peter. Anyway could I get help putting it in as well??? I'm homeless without tools right now. Also some feed back on a pop sound I get when braking.....Is it too much of a job ( blower ) to do Saturday?
