Hmmm... I know somebody with a 24k mile 91 S4. Unfortunately, someone put a dent into the left quarter, but it should be possible to remove it with paintless dent removal techniques.
Would the owner be compensated for travel expenses?

Plenty of good examples in SoCal so I would be surprised if they would be willing to ship a car from another location.

Just rent one. There is a good thread here here somewhere, and it looks like lots of folks would be willing to rent out their sharks

This is huge and probably a once in a lifetime event! Hopefully someone has what they need to represent the 928 community!

I have a near pristine GTS in Sydney! It's only a short hop across the pond! C'mon and shoot the TVC over here!

Looks like the it made the cut! 47 cars gathered from private owners, each one significant and some at the very highest level. From what I saw, I'm sure the finished product is going to be incredible. The 928 was appreciated, well represented in the shots, and in awesome company. IFC was filming a documentary about the project that is due out about the same time as the commercial is scheduled to air in the fall. I guess everything is subject to change, but that was what I heard while I was there.
It was truly a thrill to be a small part of an unique project. I tried to represent my 928 brethren in the best possible way, I hope the finished product is something we can all take pride in. BTW, for all the skeptics of the Panamera among whom I must include myself, I got a drive in the car and it is busting its seams with performance! There was all kinds of nondisclosure stuff we had to sign, but the director sent me this picture and said I could share it all I want. Don't know if me meant posting it on Rennlist, but here you go. I did take tons of personal photos that I hope to share some time soon, probably after the commercial airs. Cheers, William

Is that a red 959 in the shot? Is the PanAm behind (beside) your car?
I didn't know they were really going to produce that car. Will it raise the value of the 928, like the 350z did for the 240z? |

Correct on both, that is a red 959, and a near perfect example like just about every car there. And the Panamera is driving next to my car, though it was not me behind the wheel. All professional/precision drivers, I think around 25 of them.
I have no guess as to what will happen to 928 values, but it sure can't hurt!

Definitely looks like the red is a 959. The other doesn't fit the humpback profile of the panam.
EDIT: Woops - too slow on the post!

It is a Panam, it looks quite large in comparison to the 928

Looks great. Love the blacked out Cayenne film rig. Will be fun to see the final result.
