Default Fuel Dizzy Rebuild

I am going to rebuild my fuel distributor today and was looking for some extra advice. I rebuilt it once, but did not succeed as fuel now goes in, but not out. I learned from some knowledgeable friends from the Pelican forum I should have used wheel bearing grease instead of shellac, like the factory used. I must have clogged an orifice. Another great guy from the forum also gave me a complete set of o-rings.
This time I'm going to soak all the parts in Berrymans as well, instead of just blowing them out with brake parts cleaner.
Any extra help would be GREATLY appreciated, as I STILL have not had a chance to drive my extra, extra low mileage 928 since I've owned it!!!

Thanks in advance guys!!!

I did this using shellac and it worked.

It doesn't sound like shellac getting into openings. Sounds like parts aren't put back right. Perhaps you didn't put the thin metal diaphragm back right. There are some small holes that need to be aligned right.

Whatever you use to seal it, use it sparingly.

I have rebuilt two of them using shellac with no problem. I used a very small paint brush and applied a very thin coat.

Also consider putting all pieces into the freezer and deepfreeze them. Then torque the halves together. This can sometimes correct a weeping between halves.

I also used shellac and it worked fine. Make sure the steel gaseket is oriented so the hole feeding the warm up regulator is in the right position. If your inlet fitting has a filter make sure it is not blocked. Make sure you system pressure regulator is reassembled correctly.
