I had a terrible time finding a new windshield for my 86.5 I had a windshield with an antenna as well. Last year i tried every possible windshield place in my city with no luck. Not even for a non antenna one. Was told only the Porsche dealership could get you one and the list price is about 1500 - 1800 bucks. Well i got a little body work done at a place that specializes in euro cars and don't ask me how but she found me one with an antenna and it only cost me $100(insurance deductable)!! Guess this didn't help but happy hunting. lol

I don't know if its worth all the trouble, by my GTS has a replacement SIGLA windshield under the PO's watch that has the antenna and it doesn't need it. I would trade you if it could be removed without damaging it. Otherwise, they are $1200 winshields. You could get a non-antenna windshield and either put a hidden antenna in the dash or a roof-mounted '90 and later antenna.
If you have full coverage on the car, your insurance company should pay for it minus your deductible (since it was a bird strike). I carry full glass coverage on all my cars.

Thanks for the offer to trade, but your windshield is pretty much where it needs to be.
I would hate to end needing to buy 2 of them.

Make sure you stress to the insurance company that your windshield has an antenna inside it and you need the SIGLA brand glass (I think they are teh only ones that even make it).

No help on the antenna-in-glass windshield. You might want o consider the change to the later roof antenna with the amplifier, if only to make the radio more usable. The non-antenna glass is a fringe benefit.
We dealt with Mark Anderson's glass place a couple years ago, and she did a great deal on non-antenna glass supplied by Pilkington. It is genuine Sigla-branded ad at a great price. Do a search for 'sharktoberfest windshield special'. Micheslle scoured the contryside to lock in rigts on a lot of glasss, and knows whwer the bodies are buried. They offered local delivery (your local not ours) with agenerous allowance of about $100 off to help with yopur local installation costs. A phone call from you will answer the question if you can't find it locally from your usual suspects.
Nice catch on the turkey, by the way. Glad you are both OK. And also glad it wasn't a cow/moose/elk/deer/bear/horse/Harley riders/etc. Lots of very bad possibilities. Could have been a pheasant lik that other poster. Pheasants... I'm a big fan!

Important..see the installation video..
I've to replace mine but I'm more concerned with who I can trust to the job right and the adhesive they use. I'm trying to find the best outfit in the Houston area.
