Default Windshield question

I have a 1987 928 S4 with antenna in glass that has developed a small crack, probably needs replacement. I've searched here and read the posts, mostly old. Local P dealer can get one from Germany but expensive. I don't want to put an external antenna on. Any thoughts where I should start looking? Thanks

Radio is dead, get a MP3 player.

Non Antenna glass in premium brands like Sigla is widely available around $300 installed.

Antenna glass is hard to find and closer to $1k or more installed.

If you live in an urban area with lots of signal strength some kind of hidden antenna might be as well.

Appx. price as of 9.3.08, was 550$, installed. If you do not have one in your area, call 800-834-1917. They will assist you. Glass is in stock in LA, Calif. I had mine in 4 days in VT.... Good Luck

Looks like he doesn't have an auction up right now for it, but the vendor name is prosourceglass, you can drop him a line via his eBay account about when he will have them available again ($385 + s/h). He is in Andover, MA -IIRC.

http://myworld.ebay.com/prosourceglass/

Good luck...

Ask about the source/country of origin...

It should... you saw the used '86 on eBay? Get good pics!

BTW, that vendor link I gave you had the years '85-'95 on his auction he ran a month or so ago, so IMO an '86 would work...
