I used the 4's with the stock grills. I bent the tabs of the speakers up so they catch the tabs on the inside of the grill to lock in place. A perfect fit and the grills are on like glue. The tweeters will actually fit into the factory housing too.
The 6.5's fit perfectly using the stock grills also, although IIRC I had to modify the backside of the housing. I backed them with some dynamat and used some fiberglass insulation around them to enhance the bass and reduce vibration.
