Default PacNW 928 Get Together: 32nd Annual LeMay Car Show, Tacoma, WA, Sat, Aug 29th

Hi guys,

Anyone interested in going to the LeMay car show in Tacoma on Sat the 29th? I think some of you guys have been down there before. I have not, but heard its a great collection.

Perhaps a meet up and cruise down for the Seattle crew then meeting up with any other 928'ers that may make it?

A couple of options for the northern crew for meeting up that morning:

Eastsiders: a Starbucks type place near Bellevue off 405.
North of Seattle: come down 405 to Bellevue and meet up with the eastsiders, or stay on I5 and meet up somewhere near Seattle?
Seattle/south of Seattle/I5: Starbucks type place near where I5 and 405 join (somewhere near South Center mall?).

Some info from the website:

The LeMay Car Show has been a family tradition for over 30 years. Our show will blow you away with an amazing assortment of 1,000 vintage collector cars spread out over 80+ acres with additional collections of dolls, antiques, and nostalgic memorabilia housed within our themed rooms.

I'm about 99% locked in at this time.

Lets do it.

It would be a nice trip. I can't make it. We have already made plans to be in Friday Harbor that weekend. There is a car show there on Sunday.

Hi H,
I was thinking you may be there too. We may go up a day early and spend the night at Leavenworth. Not sure yet. Enjoy Hawaii.

Ed,

LeMay is Saturday and the San Juan Island Concours is Sunday. All you gotta do is make the 8:45am ferry from Anacortes!

Ha! Believe me, I thought of that. But I'm using up my credits at a rapid rate this weekend and next.

Today I'm working on my dirt bike all day in order to get it ready so I can be gone all day tomorrow dirt bike riding at a buddies 3000 acre ranch in eastern WA (wa-hoo!), then heading to the Le May thing next Sat.

I don't have the ***** to even consider bringing up the San Juan Island thing.

On the other hand, bring the wife for a day trip, have a nice lunch, enjoy the beautiful scenary in the sound, hmmm, I can see a plot being hatched...

Speaking of Concours, the Kirkland Concours at Carillon Point is being held on Sunday Sept. 13.

I think that would be cutting it too close for me. I want a more relaxing weekend. I gotta keep the BP under control.

Hey guys,

I won't be able to go to the museum Sat. I have a bubble on my left front tire and my replacement tires won't be here in time to get them mounted to drive down on Sat.

But don't let my non-attendance stop you from heading down.

Perhaps a Sept get-together? I'd be up for coffee and a drive, burger and a beer after work?

Ed
