Default 1982 porsche 928... REAL EURO SPEC - $3500 (Miami)

http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/1374276104.html

Is this Euro worth bringing back? Thinking about it.

He thinks his sitting on gold, its too much for a non drivable car IMO. Plus the head gaskets probobly need changing from age and the engine not runnig for some time.

LOTS more info needed, plus a full inspection.

Is it really a Euro S, check vin, motor ID, casting number on heads, intake etc. parts.

Whats the Carfax and Autocheck history.

MPH speedo means true mileage unknown.

Unless the paint is nicer than it sounds and original, no way on the $3500.

You need to take a look. I'd rather fix an engine than an interior. He's too high with the price, I expect, but ya always can ask for it and take a lower offer.

Gtta consider your time availability and what you can and want to do yourself.

If it was closer, I would work a deal with my 944 for that car. He says in the ad he has another interior for the car. If that is included, it is not a horrible deal. See if you can run a compression and leak down on the motor.

When the motor doesn't run, the rest of the drive line could be fubar and how would you know?

Michael if you are thinking about a Euro S motor, I know of a car with a trashed interior that might go for as little as a grand here in SoCal.

You are right, youwouldn't know whether the drive line is good... I am just foolish that way.

I really would like to put the "proper" motor in my euro chassis, but I am afraid I will have to wait to find one. Thanks Mike.

Pardon the interruption.

The fact that the seller couldn't be bothered to pull the whole cover off the car is suspect to me. It's like in that Guns N' Roses video where Stephanie Seymour is in the coffin with the mirror over half her face.

Or did I just date myself?

Yep, you're dated for sure, but I think you're also right! That's the first thing that struck me about those pics- either he doesn't trust his neighbor or there is a big issue there...

Didn't those [BBS] come like that from the factory as an option?

Those can be easily filled. (Look left)

Those BBS wheels are a period piece. So cool in 1984. Not a factory option but a dealer will handle it gladly.
