Hi Tony,

You should have seen the looks we got on the highways as we blew by people at 80+ :-)

Thanks for the clarification DR. I got confused if this was the ski or basic rack.

I have a set that I directly attached a Thule bike rack onto. Worked great. I would sell the crossbars to you for $250.

FWIW the older Yakima racks with SST towers and Y19 clips in front and Y15 clips also fit the 928. I spent $50 total. CL has these often.

Do you have pics you can share?

I had a Thule setup specific for the 928 that mounted in the rear the same as the front. I used it for lugging around a 16 foot canoe. The canoe was longer than the car.

Skis also fit inside, and that prevents the skis from getting dirty travelling outside on the roof.

Ok I've got the ski rack with my car. I just might get it out this weekend and see how it works.

I bet I am a force of only one here, in this thread, but it is my personal view that anybody who puts a roof rack on a 928 needs to be beaten with a sock, with maybe a rock in it.

Doesn't DR still sell the roof rack on the 928 specialist site?
