928'ers in Norway?
I recently took a job with Statoil US and I'm currently visiting the HQ offices in Stavanger and Olso. Just wanted to check to see if anyone was up for a visit.
Doesn't seem to be too many Porchas around, but plenty of Mercs, Beemers, Scabs and Wolvos.

I know of one 928 owner who lives in Sweden and Norway. His 928 was in Norway until earlier this week. I don't know of any other 928 owners in Norway.

Magne in Trondheim sold his 928 and got a Citroen, I believe. It must be one damn impressive Citroen. I will probably be there in the spring to see for myself.

There are many sharks in Nisse (Norway), but most of them are now hiding from the re-elected communist government.
I live further north on the west coast, it is too far from Stavanger.
You should get in touch with Kjetil Simonsen, he is in your neighbourhood, I will send him a note about this thread and perhaps you could meet and exchange good stories and learn how things work in a different country.

Hello Øyvind,
Thanks for passing the contact along. I am back in my room at the Oslo Radisson Plaza. Halloween was quite a spectacle in Stavanger last night. Lots of lovely ladies dressed up as dark sirens of the night. Party lasted well into the early morning hours. That said, it is pretty dead here in Oslo tonight. Made a quick lap around the area and found just about everything closed.
What is this about the government... emissions testing, fuel consumption, age, high performance or some other form of Shark envy?
Regards,
Bill

Hi Bill.
I live in Stavanger yes. But I was in Berlin this weekend, so I did not read this post until today.
Are you still in Norway? There are a lot of rennlisters near Oslo. I can get you in contact with them altso.

I live in Norway also, but my 928 has been in parts for too long and I live far from both Oslo and Stavanger...
There are some interesting 928's in the Oslo area, a Twin-turboed "Drifter" car springs to mind. The owner has posted here before, I am not sure how the project is coming along.
It is probably to late in the autumn for most Porsches, most get put away for winter. How long will you stay, come spring the picture will probably change a bit!

Hi Bill. I live nearby Oslo. Shark is still out for a spin now and then, but winter is approaching and it will not be long before i put her away. I am out of town tomorrow but pm me next time around and you might get lucky and meet her.

Realise that the Shark is a former symbol of capitalism.
Made to rule the left lane of the autobahns on the continent, signalling individuality and freedom - quite the opposite of socialism/communism where everyone is supposed to be equal and go at the same pace.
Reminds me that I should take it out some day, when the weather still permits, perhaps we can scare off some of them.

Hello Bill
I live in Oslo and use my car everyday (as long as the communist don`t spread salt on the roads). Feel free to contact me for a spin. It is always fun to meet shark people.
