only thing that it is hard to sell it here for a reasonable price, if I have to give it away almost for free then, I 'd better keep it and find out about that bolt
![]() now it is winter here and the car will be put to standstill until the snow melts |

I have a PSD trans with the bolt in it, but will have to dig it out to get a photo. Maybe Mark A. still has a photo, and some thoughts on when he used such a setup...

I think Carl F. (928motorsports.com) has a kit to retrofit it to LSD as well.

My understanding is that an active PSD hydraulically adjusts the amount of slip. The bolt just replaces the hydraulic actuator. I expect if you drove around with it in full lock or close to it, you would wear parts on when cornering.

Just get a ricer and be done with it.
The 928 is not for you. Sell it to someone who will appreciate it for the superior sports car vehicle it is. I found a picture of you:

you all sound like retired, how old are you 85? rear end planted, boring
driving sideways - is enhancing your driving skills

You're not getting it ... the car you chose for drifting, is the worst kind of car you could have chosen for that purpose.

actually it is perfect for drift, and I didn't choose it, just hapened to have a possibility for a good trade,
in wet when that psd junk can't take over, the car drifts perfectly, and it has enough power to do it on dry tarmac, it's a sunday car, most of it's time it sits in the garage, and when it's taken out I want to have some fun with it. what am I not getting it, if you aren't able to drive sideways and therefore don't like it it's your problem, i just want to get rid of that system that interferes in wrong moments :| |

Again, I don't have any problems drifting my GTS with PSD. Then again, I am not one much for going sideways, I much prefer the 4 wheel type drift of 7 to 15° that means the fastest lap time. However, it is NOT the PSD that causes problems sliding the rear about as much as it is the amount of turn in the front wheels. More turn equals more control at deeper angles.
Instead of trying to jack up the PSD, you should be looking for more turn in the front wheels and less turn of the steering wheel to get it. Or maybe you are just one of those young kids that likes to drive around with the rear wheels spinning

let's say on wet surface it is very simple, everything happens even without hitting the clutch but when it is already sideways, in a long turn, in the middle of the slide that psd thing wakes up and tries to correct the trajectory. that is what annoys me most. on dry in the same long corner it spins out the inside wheel, like it was metioned earlier, I can't predict the behaviour of that system, and that is what I hate about it most
and the car itself is more than perfect for drift * enough power * engine at the front * rwd * perfect wheight distribution what else do you need? the same story as with the 944s2 only it had less power and that worked fine if porsche would have been just a bit cleverer and made a small button that shuts it of or let it stay at those 40% lock, like bmw's dsc/asc everything would be perfect |
