Stefan,
Great car and LOVE the interior. What a beautiful place you live in! Didn't get that far south back in 2000 when I visited Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia.
Is your car Dunkelblau? Looks like it. My '88 is that same color. LOVELY color!
Marcquito I have a specially signed calendar waiting to be shipped to you...show a little love to my paypal acct so you can read the sweet nothings written you by Niki!

Hi
Yes it's "dunkelblau" - lovely colour and the interior colour is custom made by the factory. But your car in your avatar is very very beautiful too!
regards
Stefan

Hello Stefan,
another big welcome to Rennlist, and greetings from Holland. Very nice car indeed.
And Switserland is beautiful. To have a good idea of what it is like you really need to visit, just like Nicole said.

Welcome aboard - love that car, especially the interior. More pictures would be great, and of the engine too.

Beautiful car! Is it an 86.5? I just get a hint of the jack points in your last picture. And are the seats heated? I don't recognize the rearmost seat switch. I hope you can post a few more pictures, the ones you have submitted already are terrific!

Welcome aboard, Stefan! Beautiful car... AND environs!
Sno-capped mountains and palm trees -- kind of like Hawaii meets Alaska!
That 36V is plenty fast...
Miles of Smiles!

Yes, Switzerland is not a car-friendly country.
The limit is 120, traffic usually never moving more than that (Meaning they have 130 on their speedo, thinking they are really pushing it..).
I do not know how it used to be, never travelled down in europe before 2002.
But, the traffic is more of a problem, often you will end up in "stau" , and then the speed limit is not really relevant.
Usually Switzerland and France is good (and Denmark as well, in Sweden the ridiculously low speed limit means you should take the ferry indstead), but most of Germany is overloaded, preventing you from using the wagen and the autobahn as it once was ment to.
Too much traffic also leads to lower speed limits.
So, the actual problem is, too much people.
And that is the main drawback of central europe - it is too crowded.
Up here in the north I can always go for a trip on a deserted peak, knowing for sure I will have a virgin track back down the mountain.
And often the road to get there is also deserted and the speed limit is irrelevant.
I did not mean to destroy the thread by going OT, just wanted to share some thoughts about europe and the time we live in.

Yes, overcrowding is a big issue on central European freeways. Unless you go early on Sunday morning...
Sweden... Well, I can't say that the rides I got there were exactly slow. At one point we hit the rev limiter in highest gear of a BMW535i.

Well, I have shown you pic's of my car - if I had shown you pic's of me she already might have left your house...
No, that's a joke of course. I have a girl-friends and last september we had our 10 year's anniversary. When I bought the car 5 years ago, she was afraid that I may dedicate more attention to the car than to her. Once she said: "Well Stefan, one day you must decide between me and the shark."
I answered: "Never say this again, honey, because you'll defenitely loose..." Ever since I have never heard again anything against my car.
You are right, central european highways are crowded most of the time, but I do remember June of this year, when I drove from Stuttgart to Hannover on an early sunday morning. Empty highways and I was constantly over 130 mph
@okv
I would love to make a tour to Sweden and Norway with my shark...
regards
Stefan
