CDR-220: Fighting bling, one radio at a time...
#61
Chums - I've resurrected this thread as I have a CDR-22 panel that needs the display contrast turning up so I can see it from the drivers seat.
Is Jim still offering to assist? If not can anybody help with a company/engineer that could provide assisrtance? Ideally UK but happy to post international. The unit is perfect for my 964 and dont want to change it.
Many thanks

I just discovered this post, following my purchase of a european Becker CR22. Before putting it in my old 944 cab', I tested it on another car and was ... surprised on the low contrast panel. Thought it was a failure and understand it's normal.
Being French (sorry ...), could Jim please assist me directly or via his UK partner ? many thanks however, this forum is full of information !

Burning Brakes
What what was wrong with the SQR-46? I have got two of them, one I bought new ages ago. I love that model. Unfortunately, when I re-did my stereo in "The Cash GT" I only had a SQR-49 handy. Also good, but the SQR-46 in my eyes is about the best you can get as far as period look goes, robustness and the amp isn't that bad either.
But in any case, I appreciate your effort to fight bling, when and wherever it shows up! :-)
