Default Intake & cam cover re-finish

Just thought I would post a few pics of some re-finished engine parts from an '88. The car is in the process of being restored and the engine compartment is the current major project being tackled by a local expert. I liked the finish on Dwayne's car from his intake refresh thread and decided to go with a silver vein powder coat as well.

Dang it everyone is copying me. Err dwaine.

I swear I didn't see Dwaine's before I did mine!!

The silver vein looks fantastic when done. All the casting flaws disappear.

I like the red lettering.

Superb. I like the silver vein finish on black cars. The red lettering highlights it nicely. Great work!

Damn shame to cover all that up with the hood. We need to come up with a clear hood like Ferrari has on the 430.

It is the color they should have been from the factory.

Thanks for the kind words you guys. This forum has been a great source of inspiration for me. The entire engine compartment is being restored: Wiring harness, red nology plug wires, injectors, intake tubes, every hose/belt, oil filler cap, cross bar, aluminum coolant res, hood liner.... Can't wait to see it finished! Scheduled for late this year with Paul C. to restore the interior. I'll post lots of pics

I didn't even want to re-install the intake tubes on mine.
