Default PET 7.1 Anyone using this ????
I just loaded PET 7.1 and wondered if anyone else had done this???

I did as my new laptop running windows 7 wouldn't load the PET version on Jims CDs

How good is Windows 7 ? It wont let you down load/play your technical/instructional information from your CDs that you purchase from vendors. It wont let you play your old music that you transfer from your old computer or system. It won't allow you to use your dial up email programs.
Other than that it is OK. Just OK.
Yes I know , now we are off topic. May I rot in hell for the rest of my life.

Roger...........I posted a thread at the beginning of the year re. my problems with running PET from Jims CDs with Win 7.

I tried various suggestions and then a kind 'lister from Europe sent me the latest version............not sure how long its been available over there.

Big +1.... Just loaded it on my Win 7 Pro machine (64 bit) and runs great. Much nicer interface than the previous versions I've played with..
