Default Short road trip

So On the 21st I had a rush hauling trip which was supposed to just be from Abbotsford to Courtney BC and back. Well after loading it was decided to get the parts right to their final destination which was Edmonton AB.

I managed to fit some extra bits and pieces in the car and got pretty much all the parts that Rich (Friggen), will need to fix his car from the accident to him.
Then I was able to make it over to see Malcolm (flyin' scotsman) and got a rebuild brain with PEMS to him.

It was great to be able to meet both of these guys, and I wish I had more time to chat and see the cars. But as it was I was up from 7am on the 21st, and just got home this morning at around 5:30am!

The weather was good, and the traffic was light so this was very good.

Too bad I wasnt able to take the 928 on this trip. It would have been MUCH shorter.

I just did the calculations, and this apparently would have been just over 4000km by the time all was said and done!

I think a mile is 2.2K. So thats a long drive. Sounds like a good trip!

One kilometer is 5/8 miles. Therefore, 4,000 km is 2,500 miles.

My butt is sore just thinking about sitting in a vehicle that long (that far).

Cheers

Glenn, you need to find a vehicle that doesn't hurt your butt. That's why I drive Porsches

Hey Colin - It was nice to meet you and your girlfriend
Quite a run indeed! Hopefully the deer foot portion of your trip through Calgary did not slow you down too much.

The parts are greatly appreciated as I start to piece together the '85. Having them dropped off with in 1/2 hour form my house - priceless!

Thanks again and I'll keep you updated with the rebuild.

Cheers

The 4000 km would have been easy in the 928, but this was in a dodge ram pickup.
And that doesn't include this distance covered on the 2ferry rides.

Brian,
I thought about phoning Sean as he and I have spoken in the past. But it was simply too tight, and last minute, of a trip.
