Does, anyone have a 928 trailer hitch they would be willing to sell?

Sean,

Terry has one on his 90 GT.

I could always make one for you if you cannot find one.
Keep in mind the bumper cover will have to be removed for install.

And the bumper cover will have to have a hole cut in the center...

I'm also interested in one. Or at least technical drawings, so I could make one.

I have this 928 as a parts car and the hitch is still on it. If anyone wants it $70 delivered.

I was sure I had seen one that came out under the bumper. See link of stock part, from the shape, I think it must attach to the bumper shocks and the cross member.

I have a factory Hitch (not for sale) installed on my 85. I have been meaning to get some pictures of it as there have been a few posts inquiring about mounting points and such. Lately I've been spending all my time trying to figure out why I can't get it to run correctly though. Eventually I hope to get some detailed pick to post, and I could try to get some dimensions as well if needed. The factory hitch extends below the bumper cover, so you do not need to mod the cover in any way. You have to drill I believe 3 or 4 holes in the body for mounting bolts during the installation (mine’s far from concourse so not really an issue with me). The cover and the rear bumper do need to be removed during installation, but bolt back in there original location/condition. Once everything is reinstalled the hitch, without the ball installed, is relatively unobtrusive. The original ball is 50mm which is compatible with a 2” ball hitch. One of my tow units is 1 7/8 “ so currently I pull it with the old FJ55 or 533i. I have in mind to make an adapter to a 1 ¼ “ receiver for versatility, but it is far enough down the list of thing to do that it wont happen any time soon.

Feel free to remind me on accasion that I'm supposed to get some pic's as I tend to get distracted by all the projects I have going on and forget things from time to time.
