928sRus provided a lot of stuff but John and Mike H provided the bacon and eggs and the two Brad's came up with hamburgers and fixings.

A BIG thanks to Brad and Joanne for hosting the event.

The new Cat Back system looks and sounds awesome - any ***-ometer xcomments Jim?

i think the quote of the day goes to John Curry.. In putting my new water pump on the 88'....

Brad Landis: "Hey, Leidel should be torquing these bolts down. Its his car, I don't want to break any any"

John Curry: "Hell no. Leidel has gorilla arms"

Ernest, I leaked oil... but not at the rate one would expect. It dripped like it simply needed a pan gasket refresh...

Looks like another great Texas event. I had the pleasure of getting my car serviced in Brad's beautiful garage at the OCIC meet in Texas a while back. What a great resource he is. You guys did an amazing amount of work yesterday. Man, that's a nasty amount of damage to JL's motor.

Amazing! Looks like a huge chunk of the girdle came off with the oil pan.

I can honestly say that JB Weld is some awesome $hit. I never would have dreamed that JB Weld would hold something like that together. I mean, I drove the dogogne thing from Cali like that.

After looking at it in person, the good thing is, I do not believe it will be a problem to fix in some sort of permanent manner. I think the biggest question is can it be fixed while in the car. I think so.

Ernie, good to hear from you.

Remember: Third Coast is the first weekend in November.

Thank you Brad and Joann for Hosting this great party. me and Mikey really enjoyed the Pool table and the Swimming Pool. I got to work a little on my tan.

Thank you JohnC. , Mike H. & Brad for cooking in the heat!

Thanks John L. and Roger for providing all the yummy stuff!

Wish I coulda helped, but there are so many hands on the cars that there was no where for me to wrench. Looks like Zane and Barbara had it covered any way.

We have the best group of 928'ers in the US!

Can't wait for Third Coast!

The new exhaust system is just awesome! The ***-O-Meter says there is a definate incrase in power and it seems to rev faster. That could just be me with the excitment of a new system and the increased volumn.

Unfortunatly for me, we installed the aft muffler in the "LOUD" position. It sounded fantastic and turned every nearby head in the parking lot at work tonight, but still to loud. On the highway at cruise speed (70MPH) you can always hear the exhaust, again not irratating, just there. So tonight I swapped ends on the aft muffler. The muffler is ingenious, one way there are smal internal scoops, pointed forward to catch the air is the quiet mode, pointed aft so the air passes over the scoops and it's the LOUD mode. The muffler fits perfectly either way and the exhaust tips just swap ends. Great system with a lot of thought put into it.

In the quiet mode the exhaust is very mellow, a little louder than the RMB but not at all objectionable. Just did a short drive around the block so a report will follow when I get it out on the highway.

Bottom line I'm VERY pleased and is a great product!

I just want to add that I thought Jim's car sounded really good when he pulled out of Brad's place even in the loud setting (rear muffler turned around). Very deep and mellow at idle and as he got out to the main road it really sounded sweet to me. Not harsh or raspy at all. It is hard to please everybody when it comes to exhaust sound. With the reversible rear muffler so that you can tune sound to taste, its my opionion that the majority of 928er's will like the sound of this system.
