Damn, just as my anxiety level dropped off, now this. It's not the cars fault-its 23 years old, still not a rattle or squeek, just like my old BMW. My German professor in college conceded that their cars are indeed expensive, but over there people buy them to last that long. German engineers however are sometimes not willing to confess to design flaws and despite the issues continue on with them-like the corrosion prone fuses in a '77 BMW when blade fuses were used in other cars. Before getting online I took the car out for a gentle 30 minute cruise in town. No stalling at stop lights and smooth idle, but getting back to the garage the tach needle was wavering a slight bit. Apparently the battery disconnect last night helped. Looks like the car will be parked again for awhile 'till I determine an option for the flxex plate fix. Thanks for the help guys-I still have alot to learn.
